Well, as you all may know as you stumble upon this blog, I am traveling to the Middle East this fall in exactly seven days and for the first time in my life, I will experience living in another country. As much as I am excited about the thought of living in Damascus, I am bogged down with end of the Summer finals, so my focus is elsewhere at the moment.
For the next 6 to 7 months I will be blogging primarily about the food, culture, sights, and sounds surrounding me in my times in Damascus and other numerous regional destinations throughout the Middle East. This blog is not intended for political commentary or unnecessary chatter ; instead I wish to provide a rolling colorful commentary on the street food scene and the local cultural events.
After the ends of my Middle Eastern travels, I will be taking a vacation (from my already extended vacation) to South-East Asia to spend Christmas and travel with some friends from college. Well wish me luck, I hope to provide some interesting insights and adventures!
